Why Childcare Matters in the Panhandle — and How the Hub Helps

Childcare shortages across the Nebraska Panhandle limit workforce participation, make it difficult for families to find affordable and reliable care, and hold communities back from long-term growth. Without strong early childhood infrastructure, rural communities struggle to attract and retain both families and employers.

The Panhandle Childcare Hub addresses these challenges by connecting aspiring and current childcare providers, community champions, and employers with the tools, resources, and support needed to expand quality childcare.
