Nebraska Child Care Launch Campaign
Child care isn’t just a family issue — it’s a workforce issue. When employees can’t find affordable, quality child care, it affects whether they can work, stay in their jobs, or move to communities like Chadron. Businesses struggle to recruit and retain workers, and young families look elsewhere.
Nebraska can’t grow if child care doesn’t work.
This statewide campaign brings together businesses, chambers, economic developers, community organizations, child care providers, parents, educators, and nonprofits to tackle Nebraska’s child care challenges. The goal is to build public understanding, advance practical bipartisan solutions, and secure sustainable public investment so families across the state can access affordable, quality care.
Western Nebraska’s voice is essential. Rural communities face unique workforce and child care realities, and those perspectives must shape the statewide conversation from the start.
